Linda Franks Caplan
Linda Franks Caplan joined the board of MUM in January 2017 after having volunteered for several years. She is retired from a longtime career in the travel industry, including 26 years in management with US Airways. More recently, she worked as the office manager for Bethesda Cares, a non-profit in Bethesda, Maryland that provides services to the homeless. Linda has extensive experience in management including the non-profit sector.
As a volunteer with MUM, she has applied her expertise to upgrading the MUM database, publishing the MUM newsletter, working on the annual MUM Fundraiser, and working on the new website. In addition to her work as a volunteer and board member with MUM, she sits on the board of a community organization where she lives. Linda is well traveled and continues to travel when time allows. When not providing volunteer services or traveling, she pursues her commitment to a healthy lifestyle and engages in a rich social life with family and friends.
Linda's non-profit activities have been focused on homelessness, poverty, and hunger. She is an advocate for these causes and is committed, through her volunteerism, to being a part of the difference that MUM makes in the lives of their clients and donors.
