Sanita DeBose joined the board of MUM in 2016. She came with a long and diverse history of community service and volunteering. Sanita has lent her time and talent to green initiatives with OneMontgomeryGreen.org, community organizations including Impact Silver Spring, and her church. She served on the Wheaton Redevelopment Advisory Committee and is also a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Professionally, Sanita is the business owner of a promotional products/advertising incentives company (BrandUworld). Her company is a contracted Montgomery County certified local small business. Prior to starting her business, Sanita worked in both the public and private sectors. As Regional Homeland Security Program Coordinator for the Houston-Galveston Area Regional Council of Governments she managed and developed the successful start-up of the State Homeland Security Equipment Grant funding program. Her past private sector career included managing global projects as a senior engineer for The Coca-Cola Company and developing innovative product packaging for Abbott Laboratories. Academically, she holds a B.S. degree in Package Engineering from Michigan State University.
