MUM Mobile Pantry Continues to Serve Our Neighbors

MUM has been fortunate throughout the pandemic – thanks to your support, we’ve continued to serve hungry neighbors through our mobile pantry program, and visits for food assistance have increased dramatically. Our mobile pantry operates on first through fourth Sundays each month (see schedule English | Spanish). As of October 17, we’ll be at Wheaton Veterans Park each third Sunday. This location is around the corner from our current location, and sits on the corner of Fern Street, Reedie Drive, and Amherst Avenue. Thanks to Montgomery County Councilmember Will Jawando and the Wheaton Urban District for their support in securing this new location for MUM!

MUM’s choice pantry at the office location remains closed for now and we continue to provide food exclusively through our mobile operations. MUM continues to serve the Wheaton, Kensington, Rockville, Aspen Hill, and Silver Spring areas. Mobile Pantry hours are 2pm – 4pm. In case of inclement weather on a Mobile Pantry Sunday please call 301-929-8675 for updates.

MUM’s office continues to be open by appointment for those needing assistance with eviction, utilities, and prescription drug purchase. Appointments can be made by contacting the MUM office by telephone at 301-929-8675, by fax at 301-929-8234, or by email at office@mumhelp.org.

Your continued support of MUM remains vital. Your donations are needed now as much as ever, we all work to figure out what the future looks like. Giving to MUM is easy! Please consider helping now to allow MUM to continue its work! Here’s how to make a financial donation.

You can also help by volunteering! See how here.

Another way to support neighbors in need is by purchasing baby supplies. See the MUM wish list on Amazon.

Thanks again for all that you do to support MUM’s work in so many ways!
