My Situation Was Unexpected.
I gave birth to twins almost 3 months before my due date. I used up all my accrued leave shortly after my children were discharged from the hospital, four months after birth. I couldn’t get any financial assistance because I made too much, despite the fact that I was on “Leave without Pay” status from my job. My bills were piling up left and right. . . . I was finally referred to MUM. The day I came by the office, the young lady who assisted me was extremely friendly, courteous, and sympathetic to my situation . . . . They did not make me feel inadequate but treated me with dignity and respect. They helped me to prevent the power turnoff. Now my babies are doing better and I am back at work full-time.”
